Come Join the two Northern Caid Baronies of Wintermist and Nordwache to once again enjoy our second annual Fire And Ice Target Tourney for ranged weapons.

Two Days and Nights of activities in a tree and grass filled park. 

 * Camping (Friday to Sunday),

 * Thrown weapons, including Caid Open on Saturday!

 * Barony of Wintermist Baronial Championships! (Sunday)

 * Target archery (Saturday golf style novelty competition, and a night shoot!),

 * A&S competitions, Sunday Art Salon, RBG Demo, Kuub & other ranged games,

 * Silent Auction, Sunday morning Pancake Breakfast, and more!

EVENT REGISTRATION:

Camping: Adult Event Registration: $35, Adult Member Discount Event Registration: $25. Children 17 and under are guests of the barony.

Day Trip: Adult Event Registration $25, Adult Member Discount Event Registration $15. Children 17 and under are guests of the barony.

Cash or Checks accepted at gate. Make checks payable to: “SCA, Inc./Barony of Nordwache”. Parking is included in the registration.

SITE INFORMATION: This is a public park. Dogs are NOT allowed in the park. If you are bringing a service dog, please remember that all ADA and city laws must be followed pertaining to service dogs. 

Fires must be at least 12" off the ground and water and/or a fire extinguisher to be kept nearby.
Please keep tent stakes shorter than 9 inches.  

** Evening park gate lock will be a Hastings combo. **

SCHEDULE:

Friday

10:00am:     Park site opens for general use, and event & camping setup.

3:00pm - 9:00pm:    Gate opening may be earlier at Exchequer’s pleasure.
Archery Practice in the late afternoon, before dark.

Evening:    Possible Bardic by the Fire.

Saturday

9:00am:     Event Gate & List opens.
10:00am-ish:     Opening court at the Nordwache Excellencies pleasure.
15 minutes after court:     The day’s activities begin.
3:00pm:     Gate Closed: A&S competitions closes.
4:00pm:     Closing court for Barony of Nordwache.
Evening:     Archery Night Shoot. Possible Bardic by the Fire.

Sunday

9:00am:     Event Gate & List opens. 

10:00-ish am:     Tournaments will start, at Their Wintermist Excellencies pleasure.

15 minutes after start of Tournaments:     The other day’s activities begin including a Silent Auction.

1:00pm:     Gate Closes.

2:30pm:     Silent Auction will close.

3:00 pm:     Closing Court, for announcement of Champions.

6:00pm:     Site closes. Everyone must be off site by this time.

ARCHERY: Lists for archery will be run for Target Archery, both adult and youth, and Crossbow, adult only. Plans for Saturday are being made for competition novelty targets golf shoot, royal rounds, IKAC, and maybe more. Saturday night will be a fun Night Shoot, with glowing in the dark plans afoot.

On Sunday, Join Their Excellencies Alphonsus and Shego on the range as they search for their champions in Target Archery! Wintermist's target archery will be a few novelty targets, which will be determined with the help of Their Excellencies. Tournament will start at 10am or at Their Excellencies pleasure.

Marshals for Archers is THLord Henri Dumas, and HE Brig inghean Uateir.

THROWN WEAPONS: Thrown Weapons list is for both adult and youth. Saturday’s thrown weapons will be for the Caid Open using Royal Rounds, along with fun and light hearted activity after.

On Sunday, Join Their Excellencies Alphonsus and Shego on the range as they search for their champions in Thrown Weapons! Wintermist Thrown Weapons championship will likely be a royal round.  

Marshals for Thrown Weapons is HE Ragenald de Holecumb, and HE Brig inghean Uateir.

Want to do both archery and thrown weapons?  You absolutely can and should! 

OTHER RANGED ACTIVITIES: On Saturday, His Excellency Alphonsus will be demonstrating Rubber Band G*ns (RBG) using his collection of fine non-lethal weaponry, as used in the Rapier rules. This will be at his leisure on Saturday afternoon. 

Kuub and other ranged games will also be available for play.

ARTS AND SCIENCES: 

Nordwache A&S Competition Themes on Saturday, have been declared by Her Excellency Siri for this event:

• Adult: The Traveling Gentry
• Youth: The Traveling Gentry
• Cooking: Pleasant Preservation (Ingredients list required.) 
• Brewing: Pleasant Preservation 
• Bardic: Crossroads 
• Throw the theme out the window.  Item must have been made within 90 days of event.

Sunday, an Art Salon will be held for Her Excellency Shego, by Dame Joan S. Please bring your art to work on with the company of others, with treats, to the court area.

SILENT AUCTION: Wintermist Baronial fundraiser to be held on Sunday only. Please bring items to donate, if possible.

DIRECTIONS to Hickey Park, Hickey Park Dr, Hanford, CA 93230.:
From the south: Take your favorite freeway(s) to Hwy 41 N, turn right onto Fremont Ave. Continue onto Flint Avenue and your destination will be on the left/north.

From the north: Take Hwy 41 S, turn left onto Fremont Ave. Continue onto Flint Avenue and your destination will be on the left/north.

Although the SCA complies with all applicable laws to ensure the health and safety of our event participants, we cannot eliminate the risk of exposure to infectious diseases during in-person events. By participating in the in-person events of the SCA, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks. Shore Leave

This summer’s voyage being hot and hard, steer your vessel to Isles for a day of shore leave, before your crew maroons you to a short lifetime of it.  Join us beneath the coastal oaks at Tucker’s Grove Park, collect your pay (which comes with the site fee), and we’ll help you spend it.  Or just lay about in the shade.  It’s your shore leave.  There’s no need to haul canvas, as there’s nowhere to set it up, being as the trees and a tavern are already here.

The tavern will be well equipped with pie (lunch included), brews from local ports (a Caidan Brewer’s Guild tasting), board and brothel games, and plenty of tables.  Bring your favorite nautical songs and we’ll reward the best chanteyman (singers eat first).  Bring your swords and we’ll gamble on the fights.  Bring whatever amusements you will (bowls, kubb, tug of war) and we’ll wager on that too.  

Site Opens at 9am, and closes at 6pm.  Morning announcements/court will be at 10:30.

Site Fee:  Adults non-members $20, Adult members $10, Children free. Make checks payable to SCA Inc/Shire of Isles.

Directions: Make your way to Hwy 101, exit Turnpike Rd and follow Turnpike Rd inland until it dead-ends in the park. Once in the parking lot, turn right and follow the road to the end.  The parking lot is on your right, just before a gate, and about 60 yards from the site.  We will have carts & porters to bring your gear that last stretch.
