    The Shire of Carreg Wen would like to extend a heartfelt invitation to the populace  Join us for our Harvest Arts celebration.

    This is a potluck lunch with a PRIZE for the best dish featuring PEARS!
    We will also have a craft project for you to work on and take home.
    Be prepared for STELLAR weather, seating indoors and out, and plenty of space to meander on the property.
    There is NO site fee.

    DIRECTIONS:
    From the South: Take Hwy 101 north to Clark Ave. exit in Santa Maria (it's the first exit)
    At the top of the offramp, turn right.
    Follow Clark Ave. aprox 4 miles until it DEAD ENDS at Dominion Road.  
    Turn left on Dominion Road and follow 1.5 miles.
    Morning Hill road is on the LEFT.  Turn left and follow Morning Hill for .6 miles (the road is "rustic")
    At the "Rancho Sol y Luna sign, turn left and follow to the top of the hill.

    From the South: Take Hwy 101 through Santa Maria to the Clark Ave. Exit (It's the LAST exit in Santa Maria/Orcutt)
    At the top of the offramp, turn LEFT

    Follow Clark Ave. aprox 4 miles until it DEAD ENDS at Dominion Road.  
    Turn left on Dominion Road and follow 1.5 miles.

  • Leif Erickson (Calafia)

    In the long ago time of the late 1900s and early 2000s, there were Colleges in Calafia,  one such College named for Saint Artemas. Though the Colleges in Calafia are gone, the Artemas traditions are remembered. Please join the Barony of Calafia as we celebrate the traditions of Leif Artemas Erickson, combining both beloved Leif and Artemas traditions.

    SCHEDULE:

    8:00 am - Site Opens

    10:00 am - Opening Court (at Their Excellencies' discretion)

    11:00 am - Lists Close

    4:00 pm - Closing Court (at Their Excellencies' discretion)

    5:00 pm - Event ends

    6:00 pm - Site closes

    REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Adult Event Registration $20, Adult Member Discount Event Registration $10, Youth (under 18) guests of the barony. Cash and checks accepted at gate. Please make checks payable to “SCA, Inc./Barony of Calafia”.

    Join us for bead-stringing for festoons, ice floes, Viking games and Artemas games. Wear your Artemas green and yellow garb.

    LUNCH: Build it yourself sandwich bar, with a couple sides and a beverage. $6 a head, payable at gate. Wrangled by Lady Dagmar gjallandi and The Honorable Lady Mattea Morelli. 

    And for those that wear Artemas colors green and/or gold, we'll be taking a group picture by the Artemas pavilion, which is also green and yellow. Let's fill a whole photo! 

    SITE INFORMATION/RESTRICTIONS: This is a dry site; no alcoholic beverages are allowed. Parking is limited, so carpooling is recommended!

  • MoD Council meeting

    If any member of the populace wishes to send in a letter of recommendation to this order, the deadline is 15 days prior to the meeting date, that is, 08/15/25. Letters may be sent to the Liaison at mod@sca-caid.org

    INFORMATIONAL NOTE for future MoD Councils: The Fall Council meeting is traditionally on the 2nd Sunday of September. The letter deadline is 15 days prior.
