The SCA Board of Directors has invited kingdoms and principalities to submit proposals for future experiments exploring alternative Crown Tournament formats, with no new experiments beginning before April 2027. As part of that process, the Board is seeking to better understand the level of interest across the Society in alternative methods of determining the Crown and Heirs.
To help inform that discussion, we are asking the populace of Caid to share their thoughts through this survey.This survey will be used to gauge the kingdom’s level of interest with using a format other than rattan as a means of selecting the Crowns of Caid.
This survey is not a proposal, a vote, or a commitment to pursue such an experiment. Rather, it is an opportunity to gather feedback from the people of Caid. The results will help inform future discussions regarding alternative Crown Tournament formats and whether there is sufficient interest within the kingdom to explore such options further.
Responses will be reviewed only in aggregate. No personally identifying information will be associated with survey results, and demographic information will be used to provide context for the feedback received.
