The basic duties of the Baron are ceremonial in nature in reflecting the royal presence in the barony. The Crown may assign additional duties and responsibilities according to the laws and customs of the kingdom.
The Territorial Baron is responsible to the Crown. The Baron shall work with the baronial officers as circumstances dictate and shall keep these officers informed as necessary for the efficient performance of their duties and effective liaison within the barony.

Seneschals are the administrators and coordinators of a branch of the SCA. They are responsible for the effective functioning of the group as a whole and in the conduct of its affairs with other SCA groups as well as the real world. The role of coordinator includes liaison between the various offices, other branches, public contacts
and Kingdom officers.

Baronial Herald’s have many responsibilites. They run court at events, make announcements at events, help people reseach and register names and devices, and records awards and recognitions given.
Baronial Exchequers oversees financial decisions for the Barony, including creating and maintaining both annual and event budgets. They support the Financial Committee by providing background information necessary for informed decision-making. The Financial Committee is designed to share the responsibility of managing Branch assets. The Exchequer ensures compliance with all relevant financial policies and procedures, including those of the Society, Kingdom, and Barony.
Arts and Science officers are responsible for: advancing work in the field of Arts & Sciences, being a resource person for the Barony, facilitating the research, creative artistic and scientific work of the people of the Barony, and arranging for instruction at gatherings or events. Arts and Sciences Officers also oversee the Baronial Arts and Sciences Competition.
The Marshal supports martial activities through ensuring our participants’ equipment meets any required safety or game play standards, ensuring that participants are following the rules of the activity, keeping an eye out for safety issues for participants and spectators, and managing the conduct of the activity so that everyone involved can have a good time.
Captains of Archers are responsible for ensuring the safe conduct of archery in their group, according to the rules set forth by the Minister of Archers and the Target Archery Handbook of Caid. They organize archery activities within the Barony. The Captains of Archers are also responsible for checking territorial loaner equipment and designated practice ranges for obvious safety hazards and for SCA compliance. They must maintain accurate records of all archers within A Territory.
The Office of the Lists is critical to the function of every tournament during which combat related activities occur. The Office of the Lists registers competitors, verifies waivers for the marshals and fighters, arranges the order of combat for the starting and successive rounds, verifies the eventual outcome and reports the results of the combat related activities at all sanctioned events.
Chroniclers oversee the production of Territorial newsletters. They collect reports from the other Baronial Officers, articles, art, and photos from the populace for printing in the Territory’s newsletter.
Territorial Constables are responsible for keeping the peace at sanctioned events and enforcing such regulations concerning events as appropriate to ensure safety and participation therein. This power and responsibility does not extend to any style combat or with anything specifically given to another officer. Constables also operate the Territoy’s Lost and Found.
Chatelaines should be your first contact in the S.C.A. Chatelaines are responsible for welcoming new commers to the S.C.A. They introduce newcomers to the people best able to assist a prospective member to the members most suited to help them pursue their interest within the S.C.A. Chatelaines are also responsible for arranging and hosting Demos and other events designed around recruiting new members.
The Baronial Social Media Officer is tasked with promoting and monitoring our Baronial Presence on any Social Media platform. He/she strives to keep all content posted by us or visitors to our site polite, friendly, and within Baronial, Kingdom, and Society standards and within our guidelines.
Territorial Webwrights are tasked with creating and maintaining the Territory’s Webpage. They must ensure it is within all Kingdom and S.C.A. guidelines and follows all policies.
