Darach Anniversary 2025, 50th Year Celebration

When: May 4, 2025 Saturday 8:00am – 5:00pm

Where: Valle Lindo Park, North-East corner off Coe St. Camarillo, CA

What: Come, all good subjects and friends of Caid to the sun drenched and ocean cooled shores of Darach as we celebrate our 50th anniversary. Join us for a day of fun, and frolic, games, and contests.

SCHEDULE:

8am – Site opens
10am – Opening Court (Or at the pleasure of Their Majesties)
5pm – Site closes

ACTIVITIES: There will be entertainment in the form of Bardic and magic. Also, don’t forget to enter that project you’ve been itching to share in our People’s Choice Arts and Sciences contest. There will also be a White Elephant sale, so search your garages and attics for items to sell to help support our Shire. We will have a memorial display of those former members of the Shire who have passed on.

TOURNAMENT FORMATS: Our celebratory tournament will include Heavy Weapons and Rapier contests to determine the newest Champions and Protector of Darach Shire for the coming year.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Adult Event Registration $15, Adult Member Discount Event Registration $5. Youth under 18 are guests of the Shire.

SITE RESTRICTIONS: This is a Dry site. Stakes for all pavilions/day shades may be 8″ maximum. Animals must be on a leash and under control of their guardian at all times.

DIRECTIONS: Take your favorite route to the US 101 freeway toward Camarillo.

From the South/East: Exit at Carmen Dr and turn right. From Carmen Dr, turn left onto Ponderosa. Turn right onto Lantana and then left onto Coe. The park will be on the left. Parking is on the street.

From the North/West: Exit at Carmen Dr. Off ramp exits onto Ventura Blvd. Turn left onto Ventura Blvd, and then immediately turn left again onto Carmen Dr and over the freeway. From Carmen Dr, turn left onto Ponderosa. Turn right onto Lantana and then left onto Coe. The park will be on the left. Parking is on the street.

*Warning: Your GPS might tell you to go straight up Carmen, past Ponderosa, and turn left at Coe. Do NOT follow that direction! There is a center divider that blocks the way. You’d have to drive another few blocks to find a place to make a U-turn.
