Darach awards
Through great works in service, arts, or martial, individuals withing the society can earn awards. At the local level the awards can be granted to people within the shire.

Order of the Sable Oak
The Order of the Sable Oak is an award (given by members of the Order in Darach) for outstanding achievement and service to the Shire of Darach. The badge of the award:
Argent, in fess an acorn between two oak leaves, all palewise, and a bordure sable.

The Sword of Darach Shire is wielded by the current Armored Protector of Darach.

History of Champions in Darach Shire
These local titles go to the tournament winners each year. Traditionally Armored & Rapier (Champions/Protectors) are chosen at our Anniversary event in May. The way it works is that the winner of the tournament is named Champion and the highest person to compete from Darach is named the Protector. Sometimes it ends up that the same person may win both the Champion & Protector title! The title of Bardic Champion is is given out during the Darach Pirate Tourney in August and may involve silly poems, songs or best pirate performance.
