Great Western War:
Opening day is Tuesday October 3, 2023 at noon. The event Closes on Monday October 9, 2023, at noon.
The war is located at the beautiful Buena Vista Aquatics Park just outside of Taft, CA. 13601 Ironbark Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93311
We use a private entrance to the park located at the rear of the park at the Golf Course Road and Ironbark Rd intersection. 1003 Ironbark Rd, Taft, CA 93268.

Registration for GWW XXV will open on June 5, 2023, and will close on Sept. 28 at 12:01 AM. Click on the link below to go to the Google Form to register.

Event Pricing
Children under 14 are free but they must be registered.
Registered Royals will receive complimentary entry. (Royals are Kings, Queens, Princes, and Princesses of the SCA reigning at the time of GWW 25 (Oct 5-9, 2023).
“Extra Land” parcels (175 sq ft.) may be purchased for $40 ea. Max 5 per registration.

Registered Adult Camper (18 yrs. and over) – 250 sq ft
Registered Youth Camper (15-17 yrs.) – 125 sq ft

“Extra” Land block– 175 sq ft. ea., $40 ea. Max 5 blocks per registration.

Gate Hours
Monday 10/2 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM – Modern Vendors, Event Merchants and War Staff only. Regular guest gate hours are the following.
Tuesday 10/3 12:00 PM (Open of War) to 8PM Wednesday 10/4 8AM to Midnight
Thursday 10/5 Midnight to Midnight
Friday 10/6 Midnight to Midnight
Saturday 10/7 Midnight to 2:00 PM (Can check in at Porter if after 2 PM)

Monday 10/9 Site Closes at 12 Noon GWW XXV Refund Policy Requests for refund must be made via email sent to exchequer.steward@gww.sca-caid.org. The Email must be time and date stamped up to the time and date of the start of the event. A valid mailing address must be included with the request.
Refunds will not be made at Gate.
If your request for a refund is approved:
Credit card payments will be refunded minus a $5 processing fee.
Refunds will only be made via paper check written by the event Exchequer. SCA Financial policy does not allow electronic refunds.
Refunds will only be made to the person who made the reservation. Please provide the modern name that was used on your original registration form. Emergency situations that require an attendee to request a refund after the event has begun will be considered on a case-by-case basis via the Event Exchequer and the event Stewards. Refund requests received by the Exchequer may not be processed until after the event. No refunds will be issued for any reason after October 15, 2023.
