Youth Combat is open to all youth fighters ages 6-17. Parents/Guardians must be present to sign up participants at each session. Loaner gear will be available, but it is at a First Come/First Serve basis for every event. Please make sure you look through and share the rules that can be found on the kingdom website (https://places.sca-caid.org/caid/project/youth-combat-handbook/)
* Friday and Saturday: Join us on the battlefield, from 1-3pm to get geared up and take over the battlefield. We will be following similar scenarios to the adults that may include capture the flag, bridge and castle battles.
*Saturday: Meet up at Base Camp at 9am to join the Tin Brigade to conquer the Beast of Calafia (Sign up By Friday afternoon at A&S/Youth Point for Loaner Gear).
* Sunday we will be hosting a tournament for youth combatants. We heard you last year that you wanted youth combat on Sunday so we are hosting a tournament that will be run as a double elimination. We will start gearing up at 1 PM near youth point at the erics. Following suit with the adults, youth can get a third life with the donation of a non-perishable food item. Signing up ahead of time is a must and you can do so at youth point, during youth combat on the battlefield or at the beast of Calafia. Limited loaner gear will be available.
Parent or guardian MUST be present and are encouraged to assist with Marshalling, Lists and/or Waterbarring (supplies will be available).
Youth Thrown Weapons
Grab your parent and head over to our Thrown Weapon’s field to try your hand at thrown weapons. Sunday at 10am, show up to practice your skills and then enter the Youth Thrown Weapons competition. Parent MUST be present.
