Their Excellencies Brynjolfr & Dyrfinna – Baron & Baroness of Gyldenholt |
The Barony of Gyldenholt is located in the mundane lands of Orange County, California. It is a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), a non-profit medieval and renaissance reenactment organization. The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an inclusive community pursuing research and re-creation of pre-seventeenth-century skills, arts, combat, and culture. The participants’ lives are enriched as we gain knowledge of history through activities, demonstrations, and events. Gyldenholt, founded by Duke Armand and Duchess Diana de Savigny in 1979, is one of thirteen baronies currently in existence within the Kingdom of Caid in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). Our current Baron and Baroness are Their Excellencies Jens and Ida. We are located in the Kingdom of Caid in Southern California, with the Barony of Angels to the north, Lyondemere to the west, Dreiburgen to the northeast, Califia to the southeast, and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest. We are pleased to say that the Barony is quite active on a Baronial and Kingdom level. We have many activities in various areas of Medieval and Renaissance studies. If you are new to the SCA and/or you would like more information about Gyldenholt and the SCA in general, please visit the Newcomers Page.
