This year at the Uncollared Tournament, we celebrate the truth that:<\/p>\n<p>Happiness happens when we fence, create, and cheer each other on.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you win with a blade or earn your second life through art, every moment is a chance to choose joy, courage, and community.<\/p>\n<p><b>SCHEDULE:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Site opens 8am<\/p>\n<p>Court 10am (or at their majesties\/excellencies pleasure)<\/p>\n<p>List closes 15 minutes after court<\/p>\n<p>Closing court 4pm<\/p>\n<p>Site closes 5pm<\/p>\n<p><b>EVENT REGISTRATION:<\/b> Adult Event Registration, $20.00. Adult Member Discount Event Registration, $10.00. Children under 18 are guests of the Barony. Cash and checks accepted at gate. Make checks payable to \u201cSCA Inc.\/Canton of Summergate\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><b>COMBAT SCENARIOS:<\/b> The Rapier list shall be single elimination, except that a second life may be gained by demonstration or display of a recent art or science project. Finals will be fought best of 11 with no weapons form repeated (Commonly referred to as an Uberelf), so please bring out all of your secondaries (Extras will be on hand as necessary). A prize will also be awarded to the Most Well-Rounded Fighter of the day.<\/p>\n<p>The Cut &amp; Thrust list shall also be a single elimination, except that a second life may be gained by demonstration or display of a recent art or science project. Finals will also be fought best of 11 but it will be first blood, weapons forms will be negotiated between the MoDs on site.<\/p>\n<p>If a fighter Really wants to, they may enter both lists, but the extra life from an art only applies to one list, and they must choose when entering the list.<\/p>\n<p>While the lists are not open to Masters of Defense \u2014 we would love to see you on the field as marshals, mentors, and witnesses to the joy.<\/p>\n<p>Because at the end of it all, this day isn\u2019t just about victory.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s about:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The friend who cheers your comeback<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The art that brings you back to the line<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The laugh after a double<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The moment you try something new<\/p>\n<p>Happiness happens here \u2014 on the list field, at the A&amp;S table, and in every shared moment in between.<\/p>\n<p><b>A&amp;S COMPETITION: <\/b>The arts and science competition is open to all who choose to enter. Entries will be on display during the day. (If you plan to take your entry into combat, please provide a photo and brief description of the piece for the display.) Fighters with an arts entry will be given a token to be redeemed at the list table for a second life. This evening event is a social space and non-competitive arts showcase that gives us an opportunity to come together as a community and raise funds to help that community grow.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The event is not selling any tickets at the door and is pre-register only. Both standard tickets ($50 member, $60 non-member) and a more limited number of patron\u2019s tickets ($100\/$110) are available. Those patron\u2019s tickets will include a special upgraded site token and your name and arms on a Patron\u2019s Roll of Arms.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The event includes food in its ticket cost and the venue is selling alcohol on site. The meal is being presented as a series of social small plates, rather than a sit-down feast.\u00a0 While dessert is included in the cost of your ticket, we\u2019re also setting up a bonus potluck dessert area for additional sweets. The venue is managing an on-site bar where alcohol will be available for purchase.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><b>Baubling<\/b><b><br \/><\/b>There will be a parlor with games of skill and chance. Arts and science classes will also be scheduled<br \/>throughout the war as well as possible shenanigans.<br \/>The battles will take place on lush green fields in Helendale while we learn about the<br \/>history behind the scenarios. Just think about all the stories of valor you will be able to<br \/>tell around the campfires after the battles. If you still want more after the battles,<br \/>tournaments for both Armored and Rapier will be scheduled for your pleasure.<br \/>Archery and Thrown Weapons competitions will take place on Saturday and possibly<br \/>Sunday.<br \/>The shire will be hosting a snow cone booth located at gate.
