The Calafian Brewers Guild will be holding a \u201cSip of Potrero\u201d on Saturday Noon to 2pm at the stone tables. This will be a populace choice event, where each person will receive a token to vote for their favorite sip. To ensure we abide by the site\u2019s rules, submissions will be limited to Ales, Ciders, Meads, Wines and non-alcoholic drinks (like Sekanjabin). If you are planning to submit an entry, please provide an ingredient list and category. See below for submission details. <\/a>Since this will be open to a wide group of the populace please try and provide a reasonable size bottle(s) for tasting. The results will be announced at closing court on Sunday. IDs will be checked for all that wish to participate in the Sip of Potrero. Stay tuned for more details, please contact the Calafian Brewers Guild<\/a> with any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sip of Potrero Submission clarification<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each submission will get checked in, the submitter\u2019s name and style will be recorded, and a number will be assigned to the bottle(s) with blue tape and sharpie. This will keep the submitter\u2019s name \u201cblind\u201d to the tasters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each submission should have a write up that consists of the style, brief description, and ingredients (For those with allergies).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An example would be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MEAD, Semi-Sweet, Clover Honey, Cinnamon, and cloves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will help those with allergies or strong dislike to cloves to avoid that particular sip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your write up will be blue taped to the table in front of your submission. Please do not put your name on your write up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following is a partial list of styles that will not be allowed to be submitted since there will be no easy way to verify that it is under 20% ABV. Cordials, Apple Pie, Jungle Juice, brandied lemonade, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
