In the Middle Ages dogs were employed by royalty and peasants alike to assist in many day-to-day tasks. Most commonly we think of medieval hounds leading the hunt! And just as we get to immerse ourselves in the persona of our choosing, hound coursing is a chance for your beloved fur baby to immerse themselves as a mighty hound partaking in the Queen’s Royal Hunt!

This is not a competitive event and is open to EVERY interested dog and human. No dog? No problem!

As fun as it is for the dogs to chase after the prey (aka a plastic bag on an engine-driven pulley system), it is equally as fun to sit and watch our mighty hounds experience the primal thrill of the hunt! So, whether your hound is Podrick the Destroyer, Bone Crusher the Heftiest of Chonks, Kai the Defender of Treaties, or Lady Gigi of the Morning Watch, come on down to the Hound Coursing field, located between the Battlefield and the Rapier field, on Friday and Saturday from 3p-4p.
