Notice for Archery

There will be NO LOANER GEAR at Potrero 2026. Everyone wishing to participate in Archery must bring their own gear.

Firewood Price Change

Firewood will now be $8 a bundle. This price increase comes from the rangers. Please remember to bring cash to buy your firewood at base camp!

We have been advised that we may see more snakes than usual at Potrero this year. If you find a snake or other undesirable guest in your camp, we ask that you please DO NOT try to remove them. Try to have someone stay to keep an eye on it, then report it to either Base Camp, a Constable, or using a nearby Call Box. The Park Rangers will be by to help ASAP.

Ice Available Onsite

Cafe 94 will be selling 20 lbs bags of ice for $10 and 24 lbs bags for $12. Ice sales will be first come, first served!

Privies seeking names and taking no hostages!

It’s that time of year again! There are many underprivileged Porta-Privies this Potrero waiting for a name to call their own. Won’t you be an angel and give the gift of a name this Potrero?

In honor of your donations to the Barony of Calafia through the Ransomers’ Guild, we will give the name of your choice to a privy in need! We suggest a donation of $10.

The DEADLINE to submit your names will be May 10^th.

Potrero Staff / Barony of Calafia reserves the right to ask for reformatting, spelling amendment, or to reject any names. Please remember that Potrero 2026 is an all-ages event and names need to reflect that (potty humor is, of course, absolutely appropriate).

Pre-registion for Potrero 2026 is now CLOSED. See you at war!

Refunds may be requested by emailing PreReg.Steward@potrerowar.sca-caid.org through May 16, 2026. All refunds are by check (there are no refunds through PayPal). Any refund request after May 16th are at the discretion of the Barony of Calafia Financial Committee. No refund requests will be accepted after the close of the event, May 25, 2026. Each refunded registration will be less $5 (to cover fees & processing).

Gate Hours

Thursday – noon* to midnight
Friday – 8am – 10pm
Saturday – 8am-8pm
Sunday – 8am-2pm

*pre-registered attendees may enter as early as 10am on Thursday

Gate will be closing overnight.

If you first arrive while gate is closed, you will be not be allowed to enter!

To relieve strain on our volunteer staff, we will be closing the gate during hours that have not had gate traffic in recent years. Attendees will only be allowed entry during these hours with a valid camping site token. Please plan to arrive for check-in when gate is open.

Shower Truck Hours

Shower Trucks will be open daily from 8am – 11am and 3pm – 6pm.

The trucks may be subject to closure if the tanks fill before our vendor is able to service. There are 24-hour coin-operated showers in Sleepy Hollow.
