These awards are Society-wide, and are recognized throughout all the kingdoms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In each kingdom, the Crown consults with their kingdom's members of the Order before creating a new Peer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_section_1 et_pb_section et_section_regular et_block_section\"><div class=\"et_pb_row_1 et_pb_row et_block_row\"><div class=\"et_pb_column_1 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\"><div class=\"et_pb_accordion_0 et_pb_accordion et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_accordion_item_0 et_pb_accordion_item et_pb_toggle et_pb_module et_pb_toggle_open et_block_module\"><h1 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Pelicans<\/h1><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content\"><p>The Order of the Pelicans represent the service peers of the Society.\u00a0 <span>Pelicans are the people who organize event after event, hold offices, do the paperwork, run around starting new groups, and so on.\u00a0<\/span><span>Members of the Order are called \u201cMaster\u201d or \u201cMistress\/Dame\u201d and wear a medallion with the symbol of the Order \u2013 a Pelican in its Piety.\u00a0In medieval times it was thought that pelicans stabbed their breasts and fed their young on their own blood in times of famine,\u00a0thus the pelican became a symbol of self-sacrifice beyond the call of duty.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you have a candidate that you feel is deserving of recognition for great service to the Kingdom or Society, or have other buisness before the order <a href=\"mailto:pelican@sca-caid.org\">CLICK HERE<\/a> to email the Pelican Liaison<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1MECIWeTVejZagebuNMqFiIjjmvo8fogJ\/view?usp=sharing\"><u>Statutes of the Order of the Pelican<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_accordion_item_1 et_pb_accordion_item et_pb_toggle et_pb_module et_pb_toggle_close et_block_module\"><h1 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Chivalry<\/h1><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content\"><p>The Order of the Chivalry represent the armored combat peers of the Society.\u00a0 They consist of Knights and the Masters of Arms. Members and are recognized for their great skill at arms in combat, as well as for qualities of courtesy and grace. Knights swear fealty to the Crown during the knighting ceremony. They are entitled to wear a white belt, and a unadorned gold chain as a symbol of their fealty. Knights are addressed as \"Sir\" (name), or for some female knights, \"Dame\" (name). Masters of Arms are equal in rank to knights. They may choose not to swear fealty, and wear a white baldric (diagonally from shoulder to hip). They are addressed as \"Master\" (name) or \"Mistress\" (name). They are addressed as \u201cMaster\u201d (name), \u201cMistress\u201d (name) or another title of equivalent rank, and are entitled to wear a pair of white bracers with a mark within a mascle, representing the target and combat faces of this Order.
