Friday 10AM-2PM

Saturday 10AM-2PM

Sunday 10AM-12PM

(Armor and weapon inspections begin daily at 9:30AM)

  • Bring your authorization card! You cannot engage in SCA combat activities without proof of authorization.
  • All standard Caidan Fencing conventions will be observed. However, due to field conditions, shoes will be required.
  • Some scenarios will allow Spears and Rubber Band Guns (RBGs).
  • Death from Behind will be allowed unless otherwise stated.

The Marshal of the War would like to encourage anyone who would like to help with our melees to sign up as a marshal. While experience helps, none is required.

We do encourage all warbands and fighting units to provide a marshal to help with the day’s proceedings.

Tournaments

RAPIERMANIA III

Thursday Evening at 6PM by the Stone Tables at Merchants:

(Lists open at 5PM)

Prepare for the Ultimate Summer Slam: the Third Annual RAPIERMANIA Fencing Tournament! The Dreaded Scottsman Rhydderch may hold the belt and the title for now, but who is brave enough to take it from him? Who can prove that they are the Cream of the Crop? Who can emerge the victor in front of a screaming crowd as the true Champ-een of RAPIERMANIA? Fighting begins at 6 PM and continues until the sun sets in a bear-pit style tournament, where the two most successful fencers will duel to the end of the night. The victor, as always, will go home with the coveted RAPIERMANIA Worlde Champion belt, and bragging rights for a whole year.

RAPIERMANIA is a pro-wrestling themed fencing tournament where combatants are encouraged to play up their stage presence for a fun and casual tourney setting. Bring your fencing gear, a stage name, a pro-wrestling persona, and a fun-loving attitude for the silliest serious tournament in the Knowne Worlde.

Cut & Thrust Pas D’Armes

Saturday from 3PM – 5PM by the Stone Tables at Merchants:

Maestra Alesone Gray and Maestro Lot Ramirez would like to invite Cut and Thrust Fencers of all abilities to participate in a Pas D’Armes demonstration of chivalric fencing. This invitational tournament is meant to provide a space for Cut and Thrust combatants to get to know one another through the art of swordplay across a variety of weapons. Participants will engage in combat with one another starting at 3PM, and by 5PM will elect one of their own as their favorite combatant as the “People’s Champion”. A full array of armor and weapons will be provided for those who are unable to supply their own, or would simply like to try something new.
